multi language forum sites

what will options be for the forum in other languages? dually too(as in translated posts). in esperanto? spanish? …

There is some content in French on the wiki, and from time to time there’s a smattering of German around here.

Problem is, whether for good or bad, English is the usual “common language”. If a forum was opened for other languages (which I, personally, would have no problem with), it would reduce the potential readership of that forum.

As for Esperanto – it’s perhaps sobering to remember that the top two created languages in the world are Esperanto and Klingon, and those who understand enough to communicate (and not even fluently) when added together and doubled still amount to fewer people than speak Limburgish (and probably most of you needed to Google that ;-) ).

That was probably awful. My mother spoke fluent Spanish. The bit of my brain that used to know Spanish is now full of French. :-/

esperanto might be the most important language on planet though. language racism based only on number of speakers or any other attribute wont last.

possibly, running something like google translate on forum with mixed language can be problem if no way to mark the language. having at least one other domain could prove support the idea. maybe not best though. which i thought already existed.

i think your post was humorous and interesting. allow me some time to read it.
i spent(?) some time with 4Yandex translate support. very good site. same as 4Google. they all said there is no symbol to turn off translation. symbol or a tag i asked them. it is possible that some persons make the argument that should never try to turn off a translation program. theory b.
