wireless networking

Having just purchased a raspberry pi as well as the Atrix Lapdock I’m interested in portability. Networking, wirelessly, would be desirable. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible? How likely are we to get this capability? What sort of time line? |

I have to admit that it’s something I’d love to have a go at. Is anyone here familiar with the USB protocol involved? How many layers are there? |

Right now, the only way to get wifi is to use an ethernet to wifi bridge. Quite a lot of work will need to be done to get wifi natively going on RISC OS: https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/2/topics/1433 |

Let’s not forget !ComCentre, native 3G support for RISC OS. Works very well and certainly better than nothing. |

How do we get hold of !ComCentre? Do we have to download the source in CVS and build it ourselves? Or is there a binary version available for download somewhere? It would be a great thing to have packaged! ;) |

!ComCentre by Thomas Milius is available from: http://www.thomas-milius.privat.t-online.de/English/Computer/ |

I don’t no if it is the latest Version from weekend. You can have it, if you need. You need also USBDevEmu and USBDevSwp. It comming soon back to the ROOL CVS. It works fine but the configure of a non configured Stick is a little fiddly. |
