The keyboard I have is this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/iKKEGOL-Mini-USB-Slim-Wired-78-Key-Small-Super-Thin-Compact-Keyboard-for-Desktop/124275931337?hash=item1cef6c38c9:g:axEAAOSwunhfH4Mm&frcectupt=true Fn+B did not work as break in this case. Fn+F2 does work as F12, it gives a * prompt On risc os it powers up in Numlock which is always annoying for a moment. This does not seem to happen with Raspbian. I have a couple of them & the Mac one of the same proportions predominantly for their reduced desk space. |

LOL. Now how did that get set… I think the trap is always remember to nuke the CMOS when upgrading OS ROM images. Thanks Kevin, I would never have thought of that! |

Not you. It’s the default, since most keyboards have a wider range of keys. If the keyboard (and character) setup wasn’t a nightmare I’m sure we would have a wider selection of settings available.
Once upon a time it was exactly what people were instructed to do – insert new ROMS in sockets (avoiding bent pins) and then hold down the magic keyboard combo while powering up. |
