ffmpeg update?

It occurred to me to try and write simple RO front-ends for the ffmpeg suite similar to the ones I did for ROXFiler. However so far as I can tell thus far the most ‘up to date’ (sic) version of the ffmpeg suite for RO this one http://www.users.on.net/~belles/software/ffmpeg/ which IIRC was done by Chris Marten long ago. Is there a more uptodate version? If not, any volunteers? |

The latest from Chris Martin I know is this alpha but was never on his official site. What frontend do you need. I have any for the things I need. |

Thanks for pointing out the newer version. :-) I was thinking of doing RO versions of some of the specific-purpose ROX apps I’ve written. The only one of these that I’ve made public for ROX/Linux is the “AVchopper” one linked from I was just about to do one that let me DnD to convert the aspect ratio between 16:9 and 4:3 for some old files. I do something similar with sox for audio. e.g. DnD some flac or wave files and it generates the ‘other type’ of each one for me. Makes life easier when you have a load of files to work on. Well, suits me anyway. I was about to ask a similar question about sox, but for my purposes that is fine as is. (just fixed some typos, etc!) |
