Andrew – apologies accepted. Sorry I grumped about it. I have an old 11" Macbook Air that I inherited, and I do use it – but it does drive me round the bend. A nice big screen RISCOS laptop would be a luxury that I couldn’t really afford even if it was available – I appreciate having the Pi, but the fact it’s tied to the desk and the big monitor (TV really) is not a major drawback as far as I’m concerned. The Mac mini is the main workhorse, but the Pi does provide quite a few very useful functions. |

cough, over here.1 I’d hope with the extra width the keyboard would be full range – typical 15.6" screens tend to accompanied by 104+ key keyboards, most feature everything including a numeric keypad set. 1 Only got the one eye operational at present and the artificial lens doesn’t really do small text. Like this. It’s barely readable with a slight strain – on a 14" screen. |

I’ve never been a fan of huge keyboards. I’d far sooner have just a very basic keyboard plus a (very) few modifier keys, with a decent keyboard driver so all the other functions can be reached with one or two modifiers and a normal key. Then I can touch type everything. I hate having to look at the keyboard. |

+1, and worth pointing out that one of the names in the linked shenanigans thread came on October 1st, made six posts, and hasn’t been seen since October 3rd. Somebody deserves a pat on the back. |
