BBS Software for RISC OS

Hello, world! I’m Paul and I’m new to RISC OS! Thanks for supporting current ARM hardware; I’m enjoying learning about RISC OS. I’m looking for any information about BBS Softwares for RISC OS. Bulletin Board Systems were the precursor to the internet and are still active today. I run an ANSI heavy BBS called 2o fOr beeRS bbS @ 20ForBeers.com port 1337. I’ve heard about ArmBBS, Arc BBS and RISC BBS softwares, and wonder if ya’ll know of which one is the best or most used in the RISC OS community. Also, does anyone know where to find any of these softwares? Lastly, I’m wondering if theres any BBS terminal programs, especially if they support ANSI graphics. Basically, any BBS details for RISC OS. Can you help? THANKS in advance!! |

All the software you know about is 26 bit (old ARM) and won’t run properly on modern machines. I believe somebody is porting ArmBBS. I have also thrown together something 1 that I dabble with from time to time, just ‘cos, but it’s quite unfinished. For clients, Connector and Hearsay2 (with telnet blockdriver) and Nettle. 1 Easy to find, just remember it uses telnet. ;-) |
