CD burning on Raspberry Pi

Has anyone done this under RISC OS please, on the Pi? I’d assumed !CDVDBurn has to be updated, I have emailed Steffen Huberson but had no reply, unless there are any other apps?

Are you trying the ‘full’ version? Or the ‘lite’? I know that CDBurnlite as on the Iyonix doesn’t work on the Beagleboard (over USB) as I’ve tried it. Not sure about the R-Pi.

Is is a testversion. Steffen send this to me in the middle (?) of 2010 to test this on my first Beagle C4. After Jeffrey has changed any things in the USBDriver it works very stable. It is a full version. Is this the latest verson? I don’t know but it works fine.
I’m sure the ‘lite’ Version not work. On the RiscPC I have the latest official ‘full’ version. This is not working with the new hardware. On a9home I can only “burn” a Image.

Where can I find such a test version ?
(I have a registered 2.02b copy)
The upgrade website didn’t have a new one.
I also found on a old A9home image a beta test only 2.03b version) but so far the 2 drives I tried are seen as cd-reader only.
Sadly both are TSSTcorp models

On a9home the simtec USB Stack is the problem.
I´m not sure what the number of the testversion is. I have only the Pandora here and CDVDBurn is not installed at this time.
It works with any combination of usb2ide and usb2sata adapters and any internal and any external devices. I have do many tests before I build the prototype of the BIK / ARMini. You can find any (old, sorry) information on my website .

CDVDBurn customers can mail me for a test version that sometimes works on the new hardware (R-Pi, Beagle, Panda) with some drives and some RISC OS versions.

I planned to sell this version as an upgrade, because it has some nice new features (Blu-Ray support, CD/DVD reader, USB support, ARMv7 compatibility), but I am still fighting many small details that hold up the release.

Prompted by Richard and Steffen’s posts, I’ve bought the test version (2.09s) from Steffen. I can confirm it works with my Samsung SE208-AB DVD/CD writer over USB with Beagleboard (RISC OS 5.19).

It would be interesting to hear if it works with the Pi, Richard?

Sorry, I’m not Richard. But I can tell you that CDVDBurn working at the same way as with the BBxM. The same speed and so on. I have try a external LG DVD writer, a internal Freecom/NEC DVD writer with a USB2IDE adapter and a Sony Optiarc DVD writer with a USB2SATA adapter.
I also try CDRipEnc from Chris Johnson with a lame Version from Chris Gransden. All this are working fine on xM, Panda, RPi and Pandora. Also MusicMan from RCOMP.

Look at the Bugs :-( It seems to be a pandorakey error. With the 03 Dec ROM I don’t have this problem.
