Why don't we create a RISC OS Open group on LinkedIn?

Simple “marketing” idea, but it would show logo and the project to many IT professionals around the world and may get attention of some of them or get the interest of some companies… just a thought. If someone wants more info LinkedIn is a well populated professional social network ( linkedin ). |

Any thoughts on this? It’d be an additional hassle to set up (and potentially moderate) but could indeed bring the benefits suggested by Paolo. [Edit: It might be worth making it clear that fanboys must exercise self-restraint!] |

It’s a good idea. I see Trevor has already done the Wikipedia page for ROOL. I wonder who’s responsible for the ROOL Facebook group/page/thing? |

“Description Fb pulls that content in if there’s no page for it. You need the “Create a Page” link right at the bottom. |

Ah, I assumed it was some cyber-squatting web crawler that just creates FB pages for organisations that haven’t already done so by scraping some stuff off Wikipedia to try to look relevant. |
