For Samsung, it’s picture size: screen fit. |

Yes, screen fit. If it’s anything like my Samsung, it remembers the setting on a per-input basis, so make sure you have the Pi displaying when tweaking scaling. |

I haven’t used a samsung TV for a few generations, but when they first introduced 1080p TVs, the term they used for 1:1 un-molested 1080p was “Just Scan”. I have seen TVs offering a “Fit” feature, and that may not be quite what is desired, as it may stretch or do other funnies. Frustratingly, the words for this vary from model to model and make to make. Look for “1:1”, “Just Scan”, “Exact” or “Native”. If none of those are listed, “Fit” is the way to go. |

Yeah, it’s not just Samsung. I had fun with my LG Monitor until I realised it was doing some sort of auto fit to screen until you find and turn off that setting. In a happy place with RISC OS on my widescreen, thank you to the community, ROOL and ROD for making stuff happen. |

I’m trying to upgrade an old RasPi 1, but although RO5.24 works, I can’t get 5.28 to set up the LAN interface. The firmware is all downloaded from github just now. Any suggestions? |

You must erase/upgrade all the network prefs/resources in !Boot. |

Thanks, David. I didn’t realise this had to be done. I must have missed (or forgotten) something. Works a treat now. |

I think it’s a bug/regression. |

I think you will find that is the time period when EDID was added, which might have a bearing on the behaviour of the video settings. |
