Power supply

would an iyonix/risc pc use a normal pc ATX power supply? if not could it be adapted? ie same volts but on different pins? Ralph |

IYONIX pc uses a standard ATX power supply. But be aware that due to the unusually low load (compared to PCs) especially on the 3.3V rail, some ATX power supplies will not start up. Risc PC uses a different connector and needs to be adapted. Problem might be the ATX “power good” signal that the Risc PC does not provide (IIRC). Anyway, I would suggest that you ask those questions in the Newsgroups (comp.sys.acorn.*), as they are not really relevant here, and you are likely to get a lot more help there. |

thanks for the reply, i will check out the link as i think i have foudn the site where you suggest. help is what i need to get this along. the power supply i am questionign is a 12v DC-DC supply, i would think it will work fine, the current PC is only a 12w mother board/processor. Ralph |
