Nope, insufficient. SHIFT only avoids booting, it doesn’t change which ‘language’ the system starts afterwards, so step 7 is wrong – it will most probably boot straight into the desktop regardless. To avoid boot AND definitely get a command prompt, you hold SHIFT and the numeric keypad asterisk, as I mentioned earlier. |
