Spritefiles in CVS

I’m having a little trouble with sprites stored in CVS, I’m downloading them using the CVS web frontend, on PC e.g.

http://www.riscosopen.org/viewer/view/~checkout~/castle/RiscOS/Sources/Desktop/Wimp/Resources/UK/Iyonix/Sprites%2Cff9?rev=1.7;content-type=application%2Foctet-stream

When opened they are erroring in !Paint with “Unrecognised Sprite Data”. Is there some file-munging issues going on via downloading them on PC via a browser? CVS binary/non-binary setting?

Unfortunately the CVS viewer doesn’t play nice with binary files:

I’d suggest using anonymous CVS access or grabbing one of the source archives.

Edit: There’s also Rick’s utility which you may find useful.

Thanks, I grabbed an archive copy and managed to see the file I was interested in.
