Problems changing the capacity of an SD Card

Hi, I am a newbie here, just learning about RiscOS. Having a blast doing so! I am using RiscOS on a Raspberry Pi 4, and it works fantastically using the default image. I wanted to enlarge the amount of disk seen by the OS so I can transfer some other files over to work on (mp3’s, images, etc) but soon the space left on a 2 Gb card ran out. I purchased SystemDisc from Piccolo Systems and tried to follow the instructions from there: http://support.elesar.co.uk/downloads/systemdisc.pdf I mainly used the following link as a guide: https://www.academia.edu/20309796/How_to_Produce_a_Risc_OS_full_capacity_SD_card However, when I reboot I just get a black boot screen with error messages saying: “Unable to read partition as FAT” The discs are all new within the last month, and they all work using the standard 2 Gb install, so I don’t think it is a hardware issue. I would be grateful for any advice how to resolve this. |

Thanks for that Paolo. I will give that a try tomorrow and let you know how it goes. |

You can also use USB memory sticks for additional storage. Somewhat simpler than experimenting with SD cards. |
