Hello there I love demos, and I love Risc OS 32-bit demos. Now, do you know if there’s going to be a 32bit version of this wonder? |

From judging the info text it seems Progen would release a StrongARM compatible version later…but may be it works with Aemulor ? Did you try ? Can’t do it myself at the moment… |

It seems happy to run on Risc OS 3.11, among others with !Arcem. The Arcem version on the riscosdev distro is OK. I know that was not your question… |

The point of those demos is usually to show off what the original hardware could do with a good programmer, so I wouldn’t expect may to be released as 32bit builds. That said, I am in the process of improving ADFFS so it can handle retro hardware demos and allow you to select the machine emulation, without needing Obey scripts. The last release of ADFFS added FIQ vector emulation, which is used by many demos and I’m soon to start coding the CPU paravirtualization so FIQ code that relies on register bank switching works. As Jan has mentioned, full machine emulation on 32-bit is currently the only way to run most demoscene demos. |
