RISC OS on Orange Pi 5

I’ve been watching quite a few YouTube videos reviewing the Orange Pi 5, and I think it looks quite interesting. It’s certainly getting some decent software support, e.g. Armbian Linux distro (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7jQrXn8Yb0 ) So, might this rather capable SBC catch the attention of the guys at ROOL? Or would too much work be involved in porting RISC OS over to it? |

It has four Cortex-A76 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. A brief check of ARM’s website suggests that the A55 retains full 32bit support, but the A76 only supports AArch32 in user mode. So for the time being we’d be limited to running RISC OS on the weaker of the two. |
