Never had a box, we just bought boards from Castle. I suspect the PSUs have long since died, but if I find any I’ll offer them too.

Seeing as I have two dead Iyonix motherboards and matching empty cases, I’ve taken one in the vein hope I might get at least one working Iyonix that lasts more than 5 minutes!

I’m sure Rik will send me good one, in which case I’ll probably take another – if they’ve not sold out by the time I’ve confirmed it works.

All the stuff has had one final test and will be posted today. I managed to find enough 128MB FX5200 video cards (the red ones) so those are included with each board instead of the black (64MB) card shown in the ebay photo.

Note – all the boards were flashed to 5.28 with the video card in the long slot nearest the network port.

Received the board today thanks, although I think that video card requires a ROM reflash as I couldn’t get it working. Thankfully I had a black card that did work.

Odd, I tested everything literally immediately before I packed it. If you want another video card to try, I think I have some spares.

I’m sure the card is fine. Until it’s been corrected since I flagged it as an issue, the flash hard-codes the GPU type into the ROM, so swapping graphics cards isn’t possible unless you use the same type.

I’ll see if softloading 5.31 gets it working later.

I was lucky with this a few years ago, having bought a secondhand Iyonix whixch had two identical video cards. I only needed one, so when that one failed, swapping them worked.

Just to confirm the graphics card is working with 5.31…and the drive corruption I was seeing was down to a faulty secondary IDE controller.

I’ll be honest, being an Iyonix I would have been somewhat disappointed if someone wasn’t broken.

They can be a bit fragile, can’t they? :)
