cf card reinstallation

It has been a while that I have bought RISC OS 5.28 roms and everything was working fine after I followed instructions but my cf card crashed and since that point I cannot enter the os and I downloaded the hardisc4 zip files but don’t know how to copy them in the cf again. Please provide me any possible idea on what to do even if I have to format the cf through the root or if I can enter the files to the cf card through some emulator on my pc. Thank you in advance.

I now managed to fix the cf by putting it to another acorn and formatting it but now the machine boots and stays in a grey screen and the mouse pointer works by moving around but nothing else! Any ideas if I can fix this or there is an issue with the roms?

I think we need more information before we can help. In particular, what type of computer – RISC PC, rPi, something else?

ROMs suggests the former, but the ROM images used more recently are sometimes also called ROMs.

it is an a7000. I was suggested the following from a member of your team “You can force a reset of the CMOS settings by powering up RISC OS 5 with the
‘Delete’ key held down.” I will try that soon and come back. If it works then I will copy the hard disk image you have here for download to my cf because I cannot find my cd that came with the roms. Thank you
