Daily Builds - Packman

Following creating a few videos for new starters, to get them up and running on RISC OS. I discovered that the daily build link is not only included within Packman but is active with the RPi imager distribution. My gut feeling is that it shouldn’t be active by default.

My concern is that new users may not be aware of the implications as I perhaps now understand them; beta quality software versus a release version.

The reason for raising this is I also noticed problems arising from using the Internet daily build package as opposed to the release version when combined with ROM 5.28.

On reflection, I wonder how new users might perceive the RISC OS experience if they see the daily build software as always fit for release.

Just thought I’d raise this as an observation to see what people think.
