New Game TIMERUN out for beta

I’ve just sent the first beta out for TIMERUN. The most unusual aspect of the code is a small animation language I’ve written. Objects all have momentum and are keyed off ASCII characters in the map with control codes. The little language is all single character based, but I found this the most simple way to describe formation flight and momentum change… I just need to get all the levels built out for Saturday. How many days have I got left… :-/ Erm… That’s worryingly low. Should be fine though… /8-) It’s a vertical scroller shoot-em-up with a time limit. An evolution of a little BBC Micro game I wrote around 35 years ago. Some time back on a talk or these forums (I can’t remember, but I’m sure I didn’t dream it) – someone asked for a Galaga type game… So this is my take on that type of thing. I could maybe send out one more beta copy. I’ve sent it to four people, so I could take the beta up to five… |
