Chris Martin's Software

Another thread around here led me to look for something on Chris Martin’s website, which in turn led me to the following slightly garbled message from what is presumably his former ISP:
Given that the only email contact that I have for Chris is also at the same ISP, does anyone happen to know if things like DrawPlus, Vector, PlayIt, Thump and Murnong have moved to a new home somewhere else? I know that the source code for some of them is available on RISCOS.info. Or, indeed, if Chris is still around and OK? |

Is this an Australia site? |

Just for record, last archive was https://web.archive.org/web/20230318004502/http://www.users.on.net/~belles/software/openvector/ which has OpenVector, OpenGridPro and DrawPlus applications. As Steve F mentions above, sources to those are in Subversion on http://www.riscos.info/websvn/listing.php?repname=drawplus |

From what I can gather, the Internode ISP is winding down operations. Web hosting is gone, but email is being moved to a different provider. The existing address you have may still be functional, depending on whether or not it’s been migrated (it appears that this was an opt-in process). |

Thanks – that tallies with something that I’ve just found in a WROCC article that I’ve been editing today. The piece references Thump, and notes that it’s currently “homeless” but available on request to Chris at an Internode address which I’d guess is his usual one. I don’t think I need anything from Chris’s site right now, so I won’t waste his time making contact when the answer for now appears to be “be patient”… :-) |
