02/06 ROM can't find System:

That Inet$LocalAddr entry shows a local address of 10.106.11.64. No wonder it doesn’t work – but where does that address come from?

The only reference I can find is in Resources:PlingScrap.!RunImage though it’s not set there AFAICS. There is also a new (02/06/13) directory in ScrapDirs named ID400b6a0a.

I raised a question about why extra dirs were being created a short while back. There Chris Gransen said

The directory name is derived from Inet$LocalAddr which is your IP address in hex. So if you’re using DHCP it can change.

The only other thing I can think to mention is that I have an obey file in PreDesk containing;

*Set EtherUSB$MAC_Configured 02:c4:99:3b:0b:40
*RMReinit EtherUSB
*RMReinit Internet
*ifconfig -a

to preserve my Beagle’s IP over ROM changes. Hmm. I think that might be contrary to what I told Sprow.

BINGO! Looks as if it was another effect of module shuffle.

I don’t use ShareFS, so usually have Freeway unplugged

Nor do I but ROMModules showed Freeway as dormant rather than unplugged so perhaps due to module position shift it had changed status. I thought Configure took care of unplugging Freeway. Of additional benefit, not only does time now fetch but Resolver works without RMReinit-ing.
