Hi, Looking for a printed copy of the RISC OS User Guide for 5.28. Anyone know where to get one? I see some on eBay and Amazon. Is there an official store or vendor to purchase from? |

What price? What version? It is licenced under the Apache licence now (though, note, the one that’s available covers 5.28 so isn’t bang up to date) so it’s maybe possible to print your own? https://www.lulu.com/pricing gives a calculator you can play with. |

That being said, y’all might want to change the text on page 2 because I would imagine that any publisher worthy of being called a publisher will look at that standard “No part of this publication may be reproduced or transmitted blah blah blah” and nope it right out the door. |

The official ROOL store page says that it’s currently out of print, but that the guide for 5.30 is in the works. I suppose it comes down to whether you want it now, or could wait and buy the new one whilst supporting the work that ROOL do by buying it from them. |

Thanks Steve. I did not see that, I can wait. |

It doesn’t currently appear to be an item directly linked from the store page…
Plus, no farting about trying to work out what size it ought to be. |

The new printed User Guide for RISC OS 5.30 is out now and available from the ROOL website – https://www.riscosopen.org/content/sales/user-guide I persuaded Dad to invest in a copy at the Wakefield Show in Bradford on Saturday. Twenty quid, big paper manual. Fully up to date with the actual OS. I can archive the old RISC OS 3.6 documentation pack I have on the top shelf in my room. |
