Oh dear! Sorry about that. EasyOS looked attractive to me, as it seemed to be taking the ROX-filer further. I know that the ROX-filer, a window manager inspired by RISC OS, was started a long while ago. Then it all went silent. But while I am mumbling Alderschottisch, does anybody know which Linux window managers implement user-actions with drag-n-drop? I find cut-n-paste very useful but clumsy. |

I’m not clear on the original points which prompted this topic. But can say that I’ve usd ROX-Filer on all my Linux boxes for years. Are you asking if any non-ROX Linux filers can do similar DND? From my POV ROX-Filer is fine as an addition to one of the usual filers/window-systems for Linux. FWIW I tend to use xfce. It isn’t RO but it works well enough for me. |
