This has been mentioned in passing once or twice if forum searching is anything to go by: The eSATA port offers some intriguing possibilities, but it’s quite expensive and the specs are looking rather long in the tooth. You also have to spend nearly $100 US to get an eSATA port, which isn’t that great. Even so, RPi buyers may be interested in the platform and it may signal another wave of very cheap ARM based devices with “more modern” specifications that could be interesting for RISC OS. |
