Three PandaBoard_ES boards for sale

Hi there!

I’m selling these 3 Pandaboard_ES boards.
One is used by me (very few uses as I never got into Risc OS because of the lack of Archimedes games compatibility).
The other two boards are NOB (new in box), never used.

I’m selling these for 110 Euros each (they are selling for 161 Euros on Farnell right now). I’m willing to send before payment if bough by known members of the forum.

For the Archimedes games compatibility you should use ArcEm.

Shame about the view regarding games compatibility, but this is being worked on, so perhaps you’ll hang in there. But if you still have the boards for sale, I’ll happily buy one from you. Delivery would be to UK. How would you like to arrange payment (would prefer to sort this before you post)? Cheers.

I would prefer avoiding Paypal as I couldn’t retrieve money from them in the past and I lost it. I can give you IBAN/SWIFT, and you don’t have to pay until you have the board with you. If that’s ok, give an e-mail address so we can discuss it.

@Raik: I know it’s not a market place, but this is the Risc OS cummunity I’ve been coming to every day for a year now, and the Pandaboard is a nice (in fact the best ATM) Risc OS computer available, so I think it’s a good place to sell them.
Please, not ArcEM again. ArcEM is broken, I’ve said it countless times: it does NOT respect host’s vsync and scrolling games are utterly ugly and plagued with tearing in any Risc OS machine running ArcEM. I have reported it countless times with no results.
Native or Aemulor are the only way to go for people who can tell a well emulated game from a graphics garbage aproximation.

The ArcEM problem could be resolved. Money is always the key :) To be honnest, more bounties are needed: optimization of ArcEM, port of RPCEmu, graphic acceleration, SMP Sandbox… I’ll set up a thread for this.

Sorry, I am not a game player. Unfortunately, I have not read all your post. I played around with ArcEM (Cris Gransdens and my A5000 ROMs) for my Pandora Distro and tried some of the old games. All are working (unlike Aemulor). Thing I noticed, success is dependent on the MDFs stored in the host system.

Some suggest that the problem of sync is in fact system wide. An MDF with 56 Hz for an HDMI mode in 60 Hz for example. HDMI, MDF on host and MDF on ArcEM should be the same (I know: that’s almost impossible). Anyxay, that needs more investigation :)

I’m not sure what the problem is and how ArcEM works. The old RISC OS 3.1 has not MDFs. There is a small selection of monitors. And you can change the screen modes.
I have only try this on my Pandora. The LCD is 800×480. If I have only this resolution in my “Host” MDF, the most games not working. I have add any Low Res modes in this MDF and the games are working. I know that works not with my xM and Panda with my Acer Monitor because the monitor can not show frequencies below 56Hz :-(
