Use of COG logo

Hi, This post is initially intended for those overseeing RISC OS Open. I did try emailing the “contact us” link with this, but realised the links I had didn’t work, so I’m trying this here where I can edit it until I get it right!

I am involved in a couple of charity public firework displays.
For the past few years we have built a “Goodnight” sign with lances for the end of the display. This takes ages to set up and costs a fortune for the minute display it creates.

This year I have built an 8ft display made from 64 wide by 8 high blue LEDs.

To control it I am using a RaspberryPi running RISC OS.
I would like to acknowledge and promote this during the display.

And I have an emulation version to test ideas on my laptop.
Emulation
Is this OK to do and are you happy with the graphics. 8 pixels high is quite restricting!

I am also looking for ideas for other animations etc. If this works, here is my emulation program that was working under RPCEmu.
Display
Set file type to &DDC and unzip. This is a work in progress. REMs may need taking out.

As the designer of the cogwheel logo (not the ROOL logo seen on this page, but the original RISC OS cogwheel and the RISC OS Pi version), I’m very happy to see this kind of credit given. Thank you. And yes; given the restrictions of an 8-pixel-high display (of which you’re only using 7 pixels!), the graphics look fine to me.
