RISCOS 5.20 download for RPi?

Hi, I’d like to download the latest stable version of RISC OS for the RPi, which I understand from the link below is RISC OS 5.20: https://www.riscosopen.org/news/articles/2013/07/24/risc-os-5-20-stable-is-now-available I’d like to update my RPi to the ‘stable version’ for software testing. However, I cannot see any way to download this version for the RPi? There is no direct download link from the above page, and although it provides a link to the ‘software’ download page, and this has a lot of download options including RO5.20 for the RiscPC/Iyonix/etc., the only RPi version available to download appears to be the development version, RO5.21? I have found a link on here to purchase RO5.20 for the RPi – is this the only way to get hold of the stable version? |

Not quite – there isn’t actually an official 5.20 release for the RPi. The RPi version is still classed as in beta, so you’ll either want to download the RC11 release (which looks like it should be pretty close to – if not identical to – 5.20 in terms of functionality), or the latest nightly build (which may or may not be full of bugs, depending on the phase of the moon). Both of these are available from the downloads page The 5.20 press release could have probably done with being a bit clearer about the fact that the RPi and OMAP4 ROMs don’t have official versions of 5.20, as I know a few people have become confused over that. |

Ahh! Thanks Jeffrey – yes, on re-reading (very carefully this time), you’re right – it doesn’t actually say RO5.20 is an official ‘stable release’ for the Pi. I had downloaded RC11 in any case, so will now start moving it over onto the Pi. |
