Source Code Comedy

Well, I would expect source code with such a history as that of RISC OS to have all kinds of fun stuff in it, and I can see references to Sony, Stork, and other misc hardware and projects. I also see (nearly half way down, won’t ruin the surprise): Looks like we can blame Andrew for that one. In one of the serial files I found optional assembly cursing some developer, although I can’t immediately find it right now. Anyone else find some fun stuff? |

I did a top 20 of the best bouts of swearing and general insult hurling before we went through the sources to remove it all. I’m sure the odd bit has slipped through the cracks (other bits we left in if they weren’t too bad). You can usually tell how hard a component was to write/work on by the expletive density and variety… :) |

Here’s another… an assembler file written using only the instructions B, LDR and ADD: https://www.riscosopen.org/viewer/view/castle/RiscOS/Sources/Kernel/OldTestSrc/Attic/ExtIO?rev=4.1.1.1;content-type=text%2Fx-cvsweb-markup;hideattic=0 Does that make it a TISC CPU (three instruction set computer)? :) |

I see why Castle have asserted their copyright. Wouldn’t want any of their valuable IPR to fall into the wrong hands :-) |
