PowerBase, DataPower or Impact?

Hi all

I am looking for a database manager to run on my riscos boxes (BeagleBoard-Xm et RaspberryPi).
My searches on the web lead me to find the following still supported databases:

• PowerBase
• Impact
• DataPower 3

in increasing price order.

I understand that DataPower 3 allows for SQL query, which is a big plus. But does this mean I can use DataPower as database server for BASIC applications I could write myself.
WHat about the other two softwares.

What do you want to do? Catalogue your stamp collection or start a competitor to Facebook? Both databases, rather different requirements :)
