I use a Samsung slimline external drive with no problems on my xM, no experience of RPi though. |

To my surprise the La Cie lightdrive DVD from my Mac worked fine with the BB -xM. |

We are just about to test and hopefully add to the list of products on our website two external DVDRW drives one with a tray and another slotted. They both have an option to power them from a standard 5V DC2.1mm PSU if you don’t want to power from a USB port. |

It would be especially useful if someone could find such a device that might be useable with CDVDBurn to write DVDs and CDROMs/AudioCDs! Worth my mentioning it, anyway. :-) Jim |

I have a externel LG GP08LU10 DVDWriter that burn all, a internal LG GP40N burn no Audio CD and a slimline internal Sony Optiarc (ARMini(X)) and a full size Optiarc (PandaXL) both burn all. |

@jim Only Track at Once – so useless for some of my audio projects (when USB audio recording is available) Can do it on my Mac but want to do it under RISCOS (just for fun) I didn’t expect the CD drive refused to wite DOA after testing a new audio CD (track at once was ticked in CDVDBurn by default) |

Hi So, if I summarize all the experiences on this thread, the compability is globally good to very good… but you have to rely a little bit on luck if you go for a totally new/untested model… WHat about this one? Cheers |
