RIOT board

I’ve just seen the new Element14 RIOT board.

It uses a Freescale Arm Cortex A9 processor, I’m wondering if using RISC OS would be usable on this board after some porting or two?

It looks as though it might give the R-Pi a run for its money.

There have been two Freescale i.MX6 boards available for quite a long time (MarS based on i.MX6 Dual and SABRE Lite based on i.MX6 Quad). But a port to a totally different platform than the ones that were already done is much more difficult. So I guess the next logical platform is OMAP5 (IGEPv5 now available). The “three cool things” that the Freescale iMX6 has – USB3, SATA und Gigabit Ethernet – are also available on OMAP5.
