Iyonix RISC OS 5.20 graphic support

I now use an iyonix pc, with two Nvidia FX5200 on two HD screens. Yes, I’m an happy man. Almost…

First problem: the 16 MB graphic memory limit. That means no 16M mode in 4096×1080. But also no 32K/64K mode due to a color bug.

Q: Does this bug also exists on other Nvidia cards?

Second problem: the FX5200 generate a lot of heat. Probably too much for the safety of my system.

Q: Are the Geforce 2MX really better in term of heat? Are they much slower? Wich model provides the best support and performances? GeForce 2MX 440 64MB?

But I have the sensation that it’s much slower than the 440. Perhaps enough for 2048×1080@75, perhaps not. I don’t know. Not even sure that a 440 would make a difference.

Good point: seems to ask only 4W. So really less than the FX5200 (30W).
