murnong and surround sound

The BBC are currently carrying out some tests streaming ‘surround sound’ using HTML5 / MPEG-DASH. More details at http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/radio3/posts/Radio-3-in-40#dna-comments http://www.bbc.co.uk/rd/blog/2014/03/media-source-extensions Question is: Is there a way to be able to capture the stream and record it for later examination/analysis/conversion using something like murnong, webget, etc? I ask because I’ve never used mornong or looked at youtube, etc, but it occurs to me that it may make this possible. If so, I’d find that very useful. But it needs to be resolved before the tests end, which gives only a couple of weeks. I’m also looking at doing this with Linux, but am wary as it may mean my having to use chrome and a new install which would be a pita hammer to crack a nut. Jim |
