RISC OS Information Required

I’ve started the process of getting the PRM’s onto the ROOL wiki, with the section for the Desktop pretty much complete.

Due to copyright restrictions, the content of the PRM’s cannot simply be copied, but instead has to be rewritten before it can be used – this is obviously very time consuming, and that is why I thought it prudent to ask if anyone here has already done much of this work, and would be willing to allow the use as part of RISC OS Open’s PRM wiki.

I use the StrongHelp manuals for information relating to SWIs and messages etc, so its the detailed information relating to aspects of RISC OS such as Kernel, processor modes, vectors and such like that I would be most interested in – basically any part of the PRM that I would have to interpret and then rewrite.

I appreciate that much of what I’m asking may not be available, but thought I would ask before I rewrite the PRMs!

Also, do people have any view on which section of the PRMs they would find of most use online? Just so I know where to focus my attention next…

The most thumbed pages of my PRMs are those in Vol III concerning the wimp, followed by those in Vol II about FileSwitch.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m currently trying to make sense of the Font Manager at the moment, so will finish this before I tackle anything else.

So unless there is a flurry of responses for other parts of the PRMs to get wikified, I reckon the Filing System section will be next of the agenda.
