New RISC OS 5

Hi all,

Before I place my order for the RISC OS 5.20 ROMs to go into my RPC, is there a newer version on the horizon?
(I know about 5.21, but that’s only softload)

Are you already softloading 5.20 OK? If not, then that step is important because the contents of !Boot need to be updated first.

Yes I am – although when I purchase and install the ROMs I want to completely install what’s on the hard drive (i.e. empty what’s there and re-install) – I am, of course, assuming that the CD that comes with the ROMs contains the necessary install.

RISC OS 5.22 will hopefully be coming out sometime this year. But I don’t know if Sprow has any plans to create another batch of physical IOMD ROMs. No doubt he will be along soon to comment.
