Beeb → View, that was a ROM. Give it higher precedence than BASIC, it will be started at boot. A simple and clever system. In fact, the Beeb’s plethora of hooks meant there were just so many possibilities in a machine of that vintage. But, then, what else would you expect from a machine where the underside was like wall-to-wall expansion capability?
