There’s also an interview with Andrew & Steve in the November 2008 issue of RISC OS Now! I could probably get the original article from Louie if that would help? |

Thanks :-) I’m sure that would be of use. For citations, the following should be included:

It’ll probably need some tidying, but I’ve now added a couple of references to Qercus, using cite journal. It doesn’t really help us that issues of Qercus often omit the publication month/season or even the year! Also I’m not sure whether the list of goals should be a regular reference or a quotation (since the list itself was copied verbatim from the magazine). But since it’s taken me over an hour to get this far, I think you’ll understand if I leave the tidying up to someone else ;) |

Trevor: If you read the first line of the cite journal page then you’ll see that “Cite journal is for formatting references to articles in magazines …” :) |

Thanks – that’s a great help. I’ve changed the citation template using this external citation generator and moved the goals to a quotation reference as you suggest. |

OK and sorry for undoing your work – I can draw attention to the previous formatting for the reviewer to decide/recommend, but I was going by the ‘news article’ section at Citation templates.
...Or, I can simply revert it if you prefer – either way the reviewer can be alerted to the ambiguity and give some advice. Cheers – gotta go. |

I’ve got the original article as an EPS or PDF document, or I can just extract the text if that’s better. Can I send it in your direction? |

That’s great – PDF will be fine. Thanks :-) |

IMHO it’s very important that all current and future press releases be communicated to the free (and paid-for) industry press, e.g.
I know it must be a significant undertaking to offer to field press queries, but it’d be great if contact numbers could also be provided for editors of such mags. Sorry ROOL to be banging on about this. |

It’s worth noting that the ROOL project is currently listed as a “Top Project” on the beagleboard.org home page. This coincidentally ties in nicely with the board’s 3rd birthday. Is there any chance of a (widely distributed) press release regarding the PandaBoard development please? |

I see that OMAPpedia has a collection on OMAP Ubuntu Main. At risk of being accused of linkspamming, I think it wouldn’t be inappropriate to include a short page on that wiki about RISC OS. Such a page could include some basic info and point readers here, in a similar way to the Pandora Wiki entry does. Note that I don’t think wasting time duplicating lots of content would be useful (i.e. no need for multiple sub-pages) as this would introduce maintenance issues. For comparison, also note the following: Any comments? |

I don’t see any harm in adding a page about RISC OS. The page can also be linked to from the software distributions section of the main page. Apart from Symbian all the distributions they list are based around Linux. It would be good for non-Linux OS’s to get some more representation! |

OK. But now I’ve logged in, I’m witnessing some deja vu… should’ve done a search first! Anyway, I’ll update that and get an inbound link from the main page too. |

Done. |

Today’s Google doodle of Stanislaw Lem is pretty good fun! Seeing as 2012 will be the 25th anniversary of the release of Arthur, how about discussing a formal proposal for a doodle? (Incidentally, does anyone know what’s happening with bbcmicro.com? The machine’s 30th anniversary has now passed and The Computer Programme 30th is imminent. I note that the BBC micro 10th anniversary was apparently marked in March/April 1992.) |
