Partition advice

I have inherited a Buffalo 1 Terabyte external USB hard-drive. Currently it is arranged as two equal sized partitions each formatted to FAT32. I would like to use it with my Raspberry Pi. When I plug it in I get a hard drive icon appearing on the iconbar, with one of the partition names beneath, but Free only shows a measly 1800 MB or so. I would like it to be recognised as a lot of SCSI hard drives – do I have to set the number of “conventional SCSI drives” using Configure? What is recommended for the maximum size of a partition if FAT32FS is to cope with it happily? |

You first need Fat32FS. |
