StrongHelp file structure

I’m hoping to write a viewer for StrongHelp files to run under Linux. Yes, I can look at them using RPCEmu but it reduces sharply the length of time my laptop batteries will last without charging.

So what I’d like is some information as to the structure of StrongHelp files.

Sorry it took so long. Had to do some (many!) registry hacks (for keys that I, as XP Admin, was being denied permission to, huh?) in order to get VB to be able to correctly link in to the required ActiveX plugin.

Anyway. StrawHelp has been released as open source (under EUPL).

If you have access to a local webserver, you might also find SH CGI useful: http://www.kyllikki.org/software/sh-cgi/ It has limitations regarding some of the more esoteric bits of the format, but I use it for reading things like the OSLib manuals.

Has anyone tried that on RO with WebJames and Perl?

I use Basic and WebJames, but plan to switch to HTTPServ a bit later.

SH CGI doesn’t work for me—I can get it to list the manuals but if I try to click on the link to one I get a ‘bad directory magic’ 100’ error whichever manual I click on.
