A Potted History of Acorn Computers?

A little while back I stumbled across this IndieGogo fund for a book covering the history of Acorn Computers (RIP). However, the campaign has expired and there are comments asking for updates.

Does anybody within the community happen to know if anything ever came of this project? I’d be very interested in reading it, if so, as there’s not as much in the way of reading material on the subject.

Nothing happened.
Sadly, although David is an old Acorn era contributor, in this instance his contribution seems to have been nil and he’s now a nominee for the “broken cog” award for 2015.

I happened to be speaking to Dave this morning about another matter. The book is still in the works. He’s had a lot of work and personal problems over the last year but things have settled down now and he expects to start back on the finishing touches to the book over the holiday period.

At this point I think it is safe to assume that the “finishing touches” will never happen.

At least the most anyone is out is 40 quid. A tidy £915 for David though.
