Generating a password for CVS write account

I am trying to generate a password to get CVS write account under RISC OS.

I managed it to egenrate a public key using !SSH. Whether it will work I have to see. In case that this shouldn’t work I think I could use my NAS to handle this part.

But this with the password is such a thing for a pure RISC OS user like myself.

perl works. perl -e print works but the crypt function shows:

The crypt() function is unimplemented due to excessive paranoia

Fine. My NAS doesn’t know perl so it can’t help.

Has anyone an idea where I can get a RISC OS based pendant for the perl crypt function?
