Does the current NutPi, compatible with the Pi 2, really newer than the old one? Does all the software works on Pi2. NutPi 1:

Yeah! That’s a first. A thread without any answer :) |

Nope it doesn’t. I have a NutPi SD card and the some of the apps won’t run on the Pi2. I’m kind of disappointed. I get it that they won’t run on my BBxM. Such is life. Everything on the NutPi I bought some time ago works great on My Pi B+ though.. :P |

Nope it doesn’t. I have a NutPi SD card and the some of the apps won’t run on the Pi2… Those two statements imply you tested an original NutPi on a Pi2 board. That doesn’t answer the question about whether there has been any update that made all the components suitable for use on the Pi2. Mind you even identifying which apps don’t work would be useful for someone considering a purchase. |

Nobody read the news page in the last 6 months? The rool guys might not read every forum post but we should make sure we read what little they do write |

Out of curiosity I looked back, but not as far as you referenced, since that article was:
As I recall some of the code changes in the intervening time were fixes for Pi2 issues. Note: The DDE on there will have problems with the current ZPP ROM image. I think the version of NetFetch may also have zero page issues. |

I mean one of the main problem ist the ROOL Store page itself. |

Yep, so ARMv7 compliant… But is it true? Does it worth to upgrade? |

I’ll hook up the PI2 today as I’m switching back over to RISC OS mode for awhile. I’ll provide some info here. |

This is a NutPi running on a Pi2.

I think supplying a simple patch would make it somewhat easier to modify the apps for use on non-Pi hardware, which would be a bit of a financial foot shooting exercise for the authors concerned. |

I see your point Steve. NutPi was good in a sense that I got to try some full apps on my Pi. I have since moved on to a BBxM that I run RISC OS full time on. I bought a Pi2 and thought all of the apps would run, nope. Different processor. Some stuff runs, some is locked to the Pi processor. The apps I really like I have purchased through !Store. NutPi is worth the purchase price. |

Chris, do you use the new NutPi, or the old one? |

There was an update to most NutPi components to cater for the fact that the Pi2 has a different processor. You should find the latest NutPi release has software which works on the Pi2, as developers were asked to update stuff shortly after the Pi2 came out. In the case of Impact and ImpEmail these would be releases from February 2015. Of course, I cannot be sure all the other software has been updated. |
