Organiser, RISC OS and the Cloud

Has anyone succeeded in hosting Organiser’s data file “in the cloud” – and more impressively yet, pointing another RISC OS Organiser installation at the same data file for a replicated view of appointments and contacts and so on and so forth?

This would be rather lovely – running RPCEmu RISC OS 5 on my work PC; RISC OS 5 at home on my RPi, with the same view of Organiser’s appointments etc.

Please do not try to run two Organizers at the same time using the same physical data file. It will end in tears.

Please take a look at the ‘Cloning’ facility in Organizer, but I have never fathomed how to do this over anything apart from ShareFS. Contact me (Organizer Technical Support) if you want to discuss further.

ShareFS over TCP would be very useful.

Thank you Martin. Unfortunately, I have v 2.07 (NutPi), which lacks the Cloning facility. It would be good to find out a bit more about how this works – as if it looks like it might allow some synchronisation between separate installations, that might be a very good reason for me to upgrade. Thanks!
