Organiser, RISC OS and the Cloud

Has anyone succeeded in hosting Organiser’s data file “in the cloud” – and more impressively yet, pointing another RISC OS Organiser installation at the same data file for a replicated view of appointments and contacts and so on and so forth? This would be rather lovely – running RPCEmu RISC OS 5 on my work PC; RISC OS 5 at home on my RPi, with the same view of Organiser’s appointments etc. |

Please do not try to run two Organizers at the same time using the same physical data file. It will end in tears. Please take a look at the ‘Cloning’ facility in Organizer, but I have never fathomed how to do this over anything apart from ShareFS. Contact me (Organizer Technical Support) if you want to discuss further. ShareFS over TCP would be very useful. |

Thank you Martin. Unfortunately, I have v 2.07 (NutPi), which lacks the Cloning facility. It would be good to find out a bit more about how this works – as if it looks like it might allow some synchronisation between separate installations, that might be a very good reason for me to upgrade. Thanks! |
