22" widescreen monitor for BB XM

I’ve got my Beagleboard XM and most of the bits, I now have to get a monitor and suitable leads. Can I use a 22” widescreen monitor/TV and if so has anyone got a suitable MDF? |

Are any of these likely to be suitable? (Sorry if you’ve already had a look there.) |

Use Jeffrey’s standard BeagleBoard MDF. Make sure that the monitor/TV has a native resolution of 1920×1080 (aka “Full HD”) and make sure that it is capable of displaying “1080p24” (i.e. 1920×1080 at 24 Hz) via its HDMI or DVI port. |

I successfully use the 1600×1000 resolution from the BB MDF on my 20” Samsung 206BW which has a native resolution of 1680×1050. |

Why not bring your board to the shop and test it there? The main problem is that the monitor has to support low signal frequencies (As Steffen mentions above). So your best bet will be to look for a LCD TV. I tried this with a 25’’ full HD TV here These TV screens take the low frequency signal and obviously display it at higher refresh rates so there is no flickering. Note: the hdmi input of that monitor did not accept the BB signal but the DVI input did – so make sure you get the right cable. Have Fun :-) |

Interesting Uwe, especially as I am putting it in the same case as my Iyonix motherboard etc ;-)). How about this monitor/TV? [Samsung P2270HD Ecofit 22” TV/monitor.] or even? [Samsong P2370HD 23” TV/monitor.] both available on Amazon. |
