RISC .... Pico ...... RPi2 vs RPi3

What would cause both the RISC and Pico RPi SD’s
to boot on RPi2 but not RPi3 ?
I thought I had them both working and then the RPi3
quit. So I bought 2nd RPi3 and have same result .
Maybe it was only on B+ they were working ?

Hi Mike, you need to replace the boot files ‘bootcode.bin’, ‘fixup.dat’ and ‘start.elf’ on the boot partition with the latest from here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/tree/master/boot then replace the rc14 ROM with the beta from from here: https://www.riscosopen.org/content/downloads/raspberry-pi

Then these SD’s never worked with RPi3 ?

The “RC14” image has never worked on a Pi 3. Support was added shortly after the Pi 3’s release, and required updating the loader and ROM manually.

A new RC15 image is on its way, but isn’t available yet.
