Untaring HardDisk4

In writing this request, where I was not able to proceed extracting the HD4 to write to a USB stick for my BB, I have now noticed !UnTar… has appeared in the directory where I had placed the UnTar… utility. So it looks as if I should be able to proceed now. It would probably have been helpful if this procedure is explained somewhere in the download section. Sorry for an unecessary posting. At least it serves to activate my account. Gerald |

You’ll find it even easier if you use the self-extracting HardDisc4 archive (under Ancillary downloads) rather than HardDisk4, as described in Using the Cortex-A8 port. (The difference between the two files is noted in their respective info pages linked to from the Details column.) |
