NewsUK busted

In case anyone has noticed NewsUK is totally busted at the moment.
This is due to the introduction of ![CDATA[]] into the RSS feeds.
I’ll take a look and update it.

Will the zero page problems also be addressed? had to stop using NewsUK months ago because it was faulting

I may as well take a look at the zero page stuff.
I was not going to bother, in the aim of having a replacement out fairly soon.
Not had time to get that done, so I should really fix my shoddy coding ;-)

Was this abandoned in the end? Shame if it was because it was a great app.

I haven’t spoken with Malcolm for a little while – his job got in the way of things last year. I’ve been meaning to talk to him about stuff, so will mention that people are still using NewsUK. I think the main problem was that there were regular changes at the BBC end, and Malcolm felt like he ought to do a large-scale re-write to make a more flexible application. Of course, that takes time, which was/is a precious resource.

Ah right, i hope he finds time for RISC OS again.
