Networking

Just enabled networking as welcome doc says but nothing happened. Had anotherlook at the network\config and there’s an interface icon which only shows USB. Does this mean I’ll need an A-A USB lead and that LAN is not enabled on RiscOS? |

RISC OS only directly supports wired LAN, the built in WiFi of the Raspberry Pi 3 cannot be accessed. The interface is ‘Ethernet over USB’, but that is just the internal arrangement, an ethernet cable to the router is the simple answer. To use WiFi an external adaptor is needed. The wired LAN works. As I recall DHCP is enabled by default. |

It does have an ethernet cable (works OK when booted in Linux/Raspian) but nothing works in risc os. If I open netsurf it says “No domain name servers are configured, so only browsing localfiles will be possible. Use configure to set your name server(s).” |

Oh dear, not doing very well. Rebooted from Raspian card and Lan not working, found that Lan cable not fully plugged in. Surprise, surprise Lan now working in both OS’s. Sorry for wasting peoples time. |
