RISC OS Version

I think that the current ‘version’ of RISC OS that is announced to the user on the Beagleboard, viz. 5.17 (19-Jan-10), is unhelpful. Surely we can present in the ‘About the Operating System’ icon bar menu ‘Info’ window something like ‘5.17.0056’ so that each sequential change in the ROM available for download can be identified by a steadily increasing number until an even numbered release makes it through the QA process.

Keeping the version as 5.17 (19-Jan-10) is just as silly as RISC OS Limited jumping to version 6 without ensuring backwards compatibility with the version 5 fork.
