Is the AI Minibook http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/products/minibook.htm a viable RISC OS platform currently? (Presumably for RISC OS use at present, at the very least, it would need keyboard, mouse and mass storage.) |

currently? No. You need to allow at least a couple of years before it is likely to appear. If ever. |

You mean the device isn’t available, or the required tweaks to RISC OS won’t be done? |

The former. There isn’t even a discussion forum created yet to discuss production delays. |

There’s the possibility that AI’s designs will be licensed for use in other products: "I’m really sorry that you have to wait. To explain the reason, we recently got a lot of traction by licensing our designs."… but I think that Chris’s sceptical opinion is wise. [Edit: cf. Always Inovating Mini Book. Also note that the irclog is very quiet!] |
